Police in Clarendon are probing the circumstances surrounding the alleged suicide of a murder suspect who was being held at the Lionel Town Police Station Lock up this morning.
It is reported that the man, suspected of killing his pregnant girlfriend, Tashieka McKay, hung himself between last night and this morning.
McKay’s four-year old daughter found her body with the throat slit at their home in Rhoden Hall in the parish.
In videos circulating online, the police were seen taking the accused into police custody and had to fire shots in the air to disperse and angry mob that attempted to attack the man.
