MORE THAN 800 MURDERS RECORDED IN JAMAICA TO DATE

More than 800 people have been killed in the country, since the start of the year.

According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, 805 murders were recorded up to Saturday, July 16.

However, this number has increased, as 3 people including a teen were found dead at their home in Free Hill, Bamboo, St. Ann, yesterday (Mon).

They have been identified as 46-year-old Antria Rattray, her son, 13-year-old Micah Bonitto and 50 year old Lawrence Baddal.

Their bodies were found by residents at their home, at about 8:30 am.

They had what appeared to be knife and machette wounds.

Since the start of the year, St. Ann has recorded 29 murders.

The St. James police division recorded the highest number of murders with 116, followed by St. Catherine North with 78.

There were also increases in cases of robbery and break-ins.
