In a now-deleted tweet, rapper Meek Mill stated that he has not been paid by his label. “I haven’t get paid from music and i don’t know how much money labels make off me!!!!! i need lawyers asap!!!”
Right on the heels of the release of his new album ‘Expensive Pain’, which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200, Meek decided to put his record label on blast. In subsequent tweets he even questioned the label’s accounting and also threatened to publicize his contract details. “ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a artist? then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist? im about to make my record deal public by Monday just to let the world see what these people on!!!”. In another tweet, he wrote, “ima war for everything that’s mine all ruthless vibes”.
However, Meek did not make it clear if he was referring to Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group or Atlantic Records.
