Preliminary assessment shows that Kingston earned about J$1 billion from Carnival over the weekend.
Senior advisor in the Tourism Ministry Delano Seiveright said the event resulted in full flights coming to Jamaica, full hotels and full Airbnb rooms.
He said due to some challenges, discussions will be held with stakeholders about increasing flight service to meet demand for future carnivals.
