The José Mart Technical High School in St. Catherine past students’ association has awarded $1.7 million in scholarships to over 80 outstanding students.
The awards were presented at the school’s campus in Twickenham Park during the 45th Founder’s Day celebration, where students were recognized for their achievements in academics, sports, and other areas.
A total of $120,000 was also given to members of the teaching and ancillary staff.
Alexander Shaw, President of the José Mart Past Students’ Association, says the goal is to help students in need while also promoting academic excellence at their alma mater.
