National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang says he expects the Jamaica Defence Force’s internal review mechanism, will be used to address issues, relating to members assigned to the Zone of Special Operations (ZOSO) in Denham Town, Kingston.
The Minister’s statement comes in the wake of several confrontations between JDF soldiers and residents, videos of which have gone viral on social media.
Dr. Chang says the JDF will assess the situation and if necessary, apply disciplinary measures.
With regards to calls for the security forces to be removed from the community, he says the matter will be looked into.
