Jamaica records 37 new COVID-19 cases and 3 more COVID-19 deaths

Three more persons have died from COVID-19, pushing the country’s death tally to 2,449.
The Health and Wellness Ministry says the deaths occurred between December 16 and 18.
 The deceased lived in St. Mary and Kingston and St. Andrew.

They ranged in age from 48 to 81 years.

Meantime, 37 more persons have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the case count to 92,089.

Of the new cases, 21 are females and 16 are males aged 1 to 82 years.
 The positivity rate has increased to 5.4 per cent.
 Hospitalizations fell to 96 persons. 21 of them are moderately ill, 11 are severely ill and 2 are critically ill.

Meanwhile, 143 more persons have recovered from the virus, pushing total recoveries to 64,004.
