JAH CURE SET TO SPEND THE HOLIDAYS IN LOCKED UP

Recording artiste Jah Cure will be spending the holidays behind bars.


Following up on Jah Cure’s Amsterdam saga, the entertainer will have to spend an additional 83 days in lock-up before his trial begins on January 2022.


Franklin Wattimena, press officer of the Netherlands Public Prosecution Service, reportedly shared with the local news, “The total period of pre-trial arrest cannot exceed 110 days: six days in police custody, 14 days in detention and 90 days on remand. Court proceedings must begin within this period. At the beginning of January 2022 the suspect will be summoned to appear at the Amsterdam court in an open session,”.


Jah Cure was arrested and charged as a result of an alleged stabbing incident involving show promoter Nicardo “Papa” Blake on October 1. He is charged with attempted murder, attempted manslaughter, aggravated assault or attempted aggravated assault.


According to reports, the “Longing For” artiste is yet to secure legal representation in the Dutch nation and is allegedly being represented by a state-supplied public defender.
