Hydel has been declared winners of the Central Athletics championships. This, following a revision of the points tally by the organising committee yesterday after discrepancy in the result of the class-2 girls 100m hurdles.
The revision showed Hydel scoring 357.5 points to beat defending champions Edwin Allen; 357 points, by a half of a point.
Holmwood Technical ended 3rd with 320 points while St. Jago placed 4th with 203.5 points.
The meet organisers were forced to make the adjustment to the score after the official result in the class-2 girls 100m hurdles, showed Jody Daley of Hydel who placed 3rd in the event in 5th spot.
The correction earned Hydel an additional 2 points to move passed Edwin Allen who were initially declared winners by 2.5 points.
