Gov’t receives 45,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine from Suriname

Jamaica has received 45,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine. They arrived in the island around 10:00 pm on Wednesday at the Norman Manley International Airport.

The batch is a donation from the Suriname government.

Dr Tufton made the announcement on his twitter page noting that this is one of two shipments of the Pfizer vaccine to arrive.

He said another 100,000 doses are expected later this week.
