Another member of Reggae group Mighty Diamonds has died.

Singer Fitzroy ‘Bunny Diamond’ Simpson died this morning after a long battle with diabetes.

Simpson’s death comes four days after lead singer, Donald ‘Tabby Diamond’ Shaw, was killed.

Bunny Diamond was 71 years old.

In a release this afternoon, Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange described the double loss as devastating.

She expressed disbelief that two members of the Mighty Diamonds, have passed on within days of each other.

Ms. Grange extended condolences to Bunny’s children, family, friends and loved ones, including Lloyd ‘Judge’ Ferguson, the only living member of The Mighty Diamonds.

The Mighty Diamonds was formed in 1969 and remained together until 2012. They are best known for their debut album Right Time and are known for songs such as I Need a Roof, Right Time and Pass the Kouchie.
