Started from the bottom, now he is one of the biggest names in music.

According to Instagram account ‘The Flyer Talk’, Drizzy was paid a handsome sum of $100 back in 2006 for his performance at Kool Haus in Toronto as a supporting act to Ice Cube.

For his set, Drake performed songs off his debut mixtape ‘Room for Improvement’, which was released earlier that year.

Sixteen years later, Drake reposted the breakdown in his Instagram story of the budget for the show revealing his $100 fee in Canadian dollars back in 2006 and added the comment, “This is for anybody getting 100 a show right now…keep going”.

To say he started at the bottom and now he is here would be an understatement. Drake is slated to headline the Apollo Theatre in New York on November 11 for the first time.
