Child protection Launches Probe into Abuse of 4-year old

The Child Protection and Family Services Agency CPFSA, has launched an investigation into a case of severe physical abuse of a 4 year old girl in Westmoreland.
In a statement last evening (Thurs), the agency said its investigative team was made aware of the case yesterday and is working with the police.
The CPFSA, said the child was taken to hospital and that the agency is awaiting the results of a medical examination.
State Minister in the Ministry of Youth Robert Nesta Morgan has reportedly taken a keen interest in the matter, having seen the gruesome images being circulated of numerous unhealed cuts and bruises on the young child’s body.
Mr. Morgan is appealing to parents to take steps to ensure the proper care and protection of their children.
