Cardi B And Bruno Mars’ ‘Please Me’ Tops Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

Rapper Cardi B and R&B star Bruno Mars’ second collaboration, “Please Me,” has topped Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

According to Billboard, the official music video for “Please Me”, which dropped on March 1, boosted the track’s streaming.

The song recorded 45.3 million U.S. streams in the week ending March 7, according to Nielsen Music, up 86 percent. The song also surged from 9th position to the top spot on R&B/Hip-Hop Streaming Songs.

“Please Me,” which was produced by Mars and the Stereotypes, jumped from number 6 to Number 1 on the list dated March 16. The track is Mars’ third No. 1 and Cardi B’s fourth.

The pair’s first collaborative effort was 2018 hit remix of Mars’ “Finesse,” which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 100 chart.

The song was also No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales for a second overall week after the collaboration recorded 28,000 downloads in the week ending March 7.
