As part of efforts to boost food supply for schools, the Agriculture Ministry will be collaborating with the Education Ministry to establish a School Farm Programme.
Agriculture Minister Pearnel Charles Jr. said this will be in addition to projects already being undertaken, by the Jamaica 4H Clubs.
He said the ministry has also partnered with the budding farmers group to help implement the programme.
The pilot phase of the programme will last for one year.
Mr. Charles Jr was making his contribution to the Sectoral Debate, yesterday (Tues).
