After being behind bars for nearly 3 weeks, American rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged with assault resulting from a confrontation in Stockholm, Sweden.
The Rocky’s lawyer, Slobodan Jovicic, maintained the rapper was “defending himself after being assaulted and that his client is innocent.”
According to CNN, Swedish public prosecutor Daniel Suneson claimed that A$AP Rocky and two other men assaulted the victim by kicking and beating him with a glass bottle.
All three have been charged for their involvement in the brawl and will remain in custody until the trial, which will begin on Tuesday.25
