17 New COVID Cases; 6 Recoveries

Jamaica’s COVID-19 case count has increased to 1,146 after seventeen more people were confirmed with the respiratory illness in the last 24 hours.

An update from the Health Ministry said the cases are from St. Thomas, St. James, St. Catherine, Kingston, St. Mary, St. Ann, St. Elizabeth and Manchester.

The ages of the eleven males and six females range from four months to 71.

Six of the new cases are imported, arriving from the US early last month.

Five are contacts of confirmed cases and six are under investigation.

Recoveries have moved to 770 as six more people were released in the last 24 hours.
