Twenty-two-year-old Linton Bailey, who was among seven prisoners who escaped the Oracabessa lock-up in St. Mary two weeks ago is back behind bars.

According to the Port Maria police, Bailey was recaptured during an operation in the Wilderness community in the parish.

Bailey was reportedly found in a vegetated area of the community and taken back into custody.

Meanwhile, Head of the St. Mary Police Division, Superintendent Bobette Morgan-Simpson, says the manhunt for the six remaining escapees is ongoing.

She is warning citizens that the men have been charged with serious offences, including murder, rape, and aggravated robbery, and should not be offered any safe havens.

The Superintendent also notes that it is an offence to harbour fugitives.
