There’s a High Pressure Ridge across the northern Caribbean.

Additionally, there is a Low-Level Jet Stream across the central Caribbean.

The Met Office says this Ridge is expected to remain across the region over the next few days. Expect windy conditions to persist especially across the south coast due to the presence of the Low-Level Jet Stream.

A Low-Level Jet Stream is a narrow band of fast flowing wind in the lower levels of the atmosphere.

This morning will be mainly sunny.

This afternoon expect partly cloudy conditions mainly across hilly areas and western parishes.

Tonight will be mainly fair.

A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston and Montego Bay today is 32 degrees Celsius.
