Is there currently a friendly competition going on between dancehall artistes Spice and Shenseea?
Two days ago, Spice made a celebratory post via Instagram stating how happy she was that her hit single ‘Go Down Deh’ with Shaggy and Sean Paul, hit 10 million views in just 4 weeks.
She wrote:“Woooiiieee we did it Joe!! OMG Besties I’m going live to celebrate this historic moment in dancehall”.
Following up with that announcement Spice re-posted a tweet from Spice Chart Data which read, “Spice “Go Down Deh” is on trending it means “real people” are actually watching, @spiceofficial is the first female from Jamaica to be on trending for 4 weeks #nobuyviews 10 MILLION REAL VIEWS.
Shortly after Romeich of Romeich Entertainment, who is Shenseea’s manager, made this post on Instagram:
“@Shenyeng still hold the record of the female artist to hit 10.2 million views on blessed in 3 weeks &10 million views in 9 days with lighter”, with the caption, “in today’s history! Facts not fiction”.
Of course, fans in the comment section started to speculate, one person wrote, “stop competing!! there’s room for everyone”, another said, “this never call for, yup we know what and who this is aimed at”
