“Wakanda Forever”: Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman Dies, Age 43

Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played the lead role as King T’Challa in Black Panther, has died.

The actor died of colon cancer at his home in Los Angeles on Friday, at the age of 43.

He was with his wife and family.

Boseman was reportedly diagnosed with the disease four years ago, his family said in a statement.

He had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis.

Boseman came to prominence playing real-life figures – baseball great Jackie Robinson in 2013’s 42, soul singer James Brown in 2014’s Get on Up, and

pioneering U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.

However, it will be as the titular Black Panther in the blockbuster 2018 film he will be best remembered.
