Incarcerated dancehall star Vybz Kartel is now engaged to Turkish social worker Sidem Ozturk.
Kartel, who is currently serving a life sentence for murdering an associate, got engaged in the summer after dating Ozturk for several years. Since becoming engaged Ozturk did her first interview with Fox 5’s Lisa Evers where she spoke about their love for each other and how they got engaged.
“He’s smart, I love his heart, he’s got an amazing heart and it’s so giving, it’s so loving, I like to call him my angel”. She went onto say, “we were just calling each other hubby and wifey and he was like, ‘Well we’re heading towards marriage so calling you wifey or you calling me hubby is not serious enough, so he was like, “You’re my fiancé, we’re gonna get married”.
Ozturk also shared that the pair plan on getting tattoos on their ring fingers instead of the traditional wedding rings.
