R&B sensation Usher sat down with former NFL star turned podcaster Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay and revealed that he could have been in a megagroup with Jay Z, P. Diddy, and Pharrell.
When asked about would-be collaborations he turned down, the 45-year-old crooner told a story about how he, Jay Z, Diddy, and Pharrell conceptualised the ultimate hip-hop and r&b hybrid group that never came to fruition.
The “You Got It Bad” singer said the would-be quartet went as far as discussing and planning the business side of things but never got to bring their dream to life as they all got “distracted.”
Usher will be headlining the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show on February 11. Jay Z has assisted with the production of the past four Super Bowl halftime shows, and he was the person who announced to Usher that he would be performing.
