U20 400 METRES HURDLES WORLD RECORD SET BY JAMAICA’S ROSHAWN CLARKE RATIFIED

The Under 20, 400 metre hurdles World record set by Jamaica’s Roshawn Clarke at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest has been ratified by World Athletics.

Clarke recorded a time of 47.34 seconds, on his way to a second place finish, in the semi-final of the men’s 400 metres hurdles.

This ahead of his 4th place finish in the final to just miss out on a medal in the event with his time of 48.07 seconds.

Clarke enjoyed a phenomenal breakthrough season this year starting the year with a personal best of 49.35 seconds which he set En-route to the bronze medal at the 2022 World Under 20 Championships and culminating with his place in the final in Budapest .
