There’s a Tropical Wave across Jamaica.

Additionally, there is a Low-Level Jet Stream across the central Caribbean.

The Met Office says this Tropical wave will move west by this afternoon. A High Pressure Ridge is expected to build across the central Caribbean becoming the dominant system tomorrow.

A Low-Level Jet Stream is a relatively narrow band of strong wind in the low levels of the atmosphere.

This morning will be partly cloudy across eastern parishes.

This afternoon expect widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across sections of most parishes. It will also be windy especially along southern parishes.

Tonight will be partly cloudy becoming fair.

A Small Craft Warning remains in effect for inshore and offshore areas of the north and south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.

Maximum temperature expected for Kingston today is 33 degrees Celsius, Montego Bay 34 degrees Celsius.
