Skip Marley has released the official anthem ‘Lions’ for the 2022 Concacaf Women’s Championship from July 4 to 18 and will be in Monterrey, Mexico to perform it before the final at Estadio BBVA on July 18.
The track which was released in 2017 was updated via remix and unveiled as the competition’s official song in April this year.
Skip’s mother Cedella performs on the anthem and is also credited in the production of the remix.
Concacaf in a statement said the song is part of its effort to engage fans “in authentic and innovative ways as the organization is steadfast in its commitment to growing women’s football”.
