The lawyer representing Roshaine Clarke, who won his challenge against the Government, in relation to his detention without charge under the 2018 State of Emergency, said Clarke is very happy with the court’s ruling today (Fri).
Michael Hemmings represented Clarke in the matter that resulted in him being awarded over 17 million dollars in damages.
This, after the court ruled that Clarke’s constitutional rights had been breached.
Hemmings said his client has expressed that the court’s decision is a just one.
He said there was no indication from the prosecution that the court ruling would be appealed.
