Jamaica’s new look national senior Reggae Girlz squad is now safely at their new base in Panama, following their arrival yesterday (Mon), ahead of tomorrow’s CONCACAF Gold Cup Qualifer against the home team at the new venue, the Rommel Fernandez Stadium.
There were joined late last night by coach Xavier Gilbert, after a three hour drive from the team’s original accommodation, before the decision to change the match venue and team location for safety reasons.
This owing to a nationwide protest and shutdown in Panama, in opposition to the government’s plan, to expand mining activities.
The new look Reggae Girlz is scheduled to have their first training session this afternoon (Tues) at 5 o’ clock.
