“Circles,” the earworm of a track off Post Malone’s third studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding, now holds the record for the most weeks spent in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 with 34.
“Circles” becomes the first song to climb over the mysterious barrier of 33 weeks that Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” the Cardi B-assisted Maroon 5 song “Girls Like You,” and Malone’s collab track with Swae Lee “Sunflower” couldn’t surpass.
Even though “Circles” debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on September 14, it took over two months for the song to reach No. 1 on November 30.
Posty is no stranger to Billboard success. In November, Bleeding finished atop the Billboard 200 chart for a fifth nonconsecutive week, a feat that had not been accomplished since 2018’s Scorpion by Drake.
It was also considered by Billboard to be the most popular album of 2019, based on the 3.001 million equivalent album units earned last year, with 357,000 of that total consisting of traditional sales.
