Detectives from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime (C-TOC) investigation branch, successfully intercepted a group of men engaged in the illicit firearm transaction.

Reports are that shortly before 11:00 a.m., the police interrupted the illicit transaction of an M16 Carbine assault rifle.

The operation’s swift execution led to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of two vehicles.

Police say this signals a substantial disruption to what may be a broader network of illegal firearm trading.

The constabulary is urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the police.
