Parliament has passed an amendment to the Noise Abatement Act for the festive season.
The amendment allows for events to go up until 2:00 am during the week and to 4:00 am on the weekend and will run until January 31 next year.
Speaking on the amendment in Parliament yesterday (Tues), National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang noted that the Bill is a response to calls from the entertainment industry practitioners, community associates and residents for a review of the amendment on the current Noise Abatement Act.
