The assurance follows the revelation that two men were purporting to be Public Health Inspectors at the popular food spot’s official opening ceremony.

The situation has again sparked concern, among some members of the public, about Crab Circle.

The food spot was previously closed, after a video showing one of its vendors, engaged in an unsanitary activity, went viral.

Since the, the vendors have received food safety training, personal wash stands, bathroom and kitchen facilities along with other resources.

The vendor in the video was also barred from operating at the location.

The Health Ministry explains that authorized public health inspectors, assigned to the Kingston and St. Andrew Health Department, visited Crab Circle, conducted lawful food safety duties and gave their seal of approval for the resumption of food handling activities, prior to the re-opening.

The Ministry urges business owners in the food trade, to be on the alert and report persons who purport to be public health inspectors.
