There was a shooting incident along Port Henderson Road in Portmore, St Catherine, which left one man dead following a reported confrontation with the police.
The deceased has been identified as Tevaughn Taylor.
The police report that a team was conducting operations along the popular ‘back road’ strip at approximately 6am, when Taylor engaged them in a firefight.
Taylor was hit in the exchange and was taken to hospital where was pronounced dead.
