All Three Jamaican men made it through to the second round of the men’s 100 meters at the World Championships.

Akeem Blake and Oblique Seville, joined veteran Olympic Medalist Yohan Blake into the next round as they all produced contracting times in their respective heats.

In the meantime the Mixed relay team had to settle for 5th in the 4×400 meters relay final.

Elsewhere, defending World champion Tajay Gayle gave a brave account of him self as he competed injured and was unable to make it through to the next round of the Long Jump event. National Champion Wayne Pinnock advanced to the next round of the event.
