Fugees Legend, Lauryn Hill finally clapped back at what fans had to say about her tardiness.

The “Doo Wop” singer has developed a reputation for being late to her shows and during her latest on-stage performance on Saturday, she told concert goers they should be lucky she “made it to a stage every night”…

During her speech, she spoke about the lack of support she received in the years following her 1998 album, Miseducation, hinting that no one asked her to make another album after the project.

According Rolling Stone, Hill made a similar comment back in 2021, saying no one from her label reached out regarding following up her massive debut solo album. “With The Miseducation, there was no precedent. I was, for the most part, free to explore, experiment and express,” she explained at the time. “After The Miseducation, there were scores of tentacled obstructionists, politics, repressing agendas, unrealistic expectations, and saboteurs EVERYWHERE. People had included me in their own narratives of THEIR successes as it pertained to my album, and if this contradicted my experience, I was considered an enemy.”

Does this excuse her being chronically late Ziptocrats?
