The Jamaica Teacher’s Association, J-T-A is calling on the government to ensure that all teachers are paid monies owed to them.

JTA President Winston Smith says scores of teachers have reportedly not received retroactive salaries owed to them for the last financial year, and summer school payments, among other things.

Mr. Smith says with the rising cost of food and other items, many teachers are struggling to make ends meet.

He says the government must ensure that all teachers are paid.
