The Jamaica Fire Brigade is investigating the cause of a fire which destroyed sections of the Granville Police Station in St. James, this morning (Wed).
The fire began shortly after midnight. There is no report of injury.
Public Relations Officer at the Jamaica Fire Brigade Emilio Ebanks said the Freeport Fire Station received a call about the fire at about 12:16 am.
He says upon arrival at the scene the dispatched firefighters realized that majority of the building was engulfed in flames.
Damage is estimated at $20M.
