The Jamaica Defense Force JDF has launched a search and rescue operation for two ST Ann fishermen who have gone missing at sea. According to the JDF the men identified only as John and Jerome went fishing aboard a vessel called The Isabella on Friday. They did not return as expected and attempts to communicate with the vessel have proven futile
The JDF dispatched vessels and aircraft to conduct a search but so far have been unable to locate The Isabella and the persons aboard. Vessels transiting the North Coast of Jamaica are being urged to look out for The Isabella which is white and black about 28 feet in length and has a 258 Yamaha Engine.
Persons are being urged to report any sighting of the vessel or crew to the JDF Coast Guard or Marine Police.
