Reggae Artiste, Jah Cure is among two hundred persons deemed ‘not fit and proper’, who were granted gun licences by the Firearm Licensing Authority, FLA, in the past.

The revelation was made by F-L-A Chief Executive Officer Shane Dalling at a press conference today.

Mr. Dalling said the discrepancy was observed, when he joined the FLA and a report from the police indicated, several adverse findings for an applicant, who was allegedly involved in gang activity and lottery scamming.

He said this person was still given a licence, even though the then FLA Board was aware of the police’s findings.

He pointed out that in some cases, the individuals were granted the licences just 3 months after being initially denied.

Among them are persons convicted of criminal offences to include murder and rape.
