The funeral service for the late dancehall artist Robert Lee Malcolm, better known as Gully Bop, is scheduled for today.
The service will take place at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston starting at 11 a.m, with the burial to follow in King Weston, Lawrence Tavern.
Gully Bop passed away on October 31 last year at the Kingston Public Hospital.
Despite Gully Bop’s public struggle with kidney disease, it was revealed that he privately battled stomach cancer. His sister, Ann Marie Chamberlain, disclosed that he confided in close family members about the cancer diagnosis more than two years ago.
He was 59 years old.
