Education Minister addresses nation with Back to School message


In her address to the nation, Education Minister Fayval Williams says For this school year which begins tomorrow, the Ministry has added audio learning apps that can be downloaded on phones where ever students are located.

The Minister says two 24 hour television channels have been launched, one for our primary school students and the other for our secondary schools. She says Live and recorded lessons will be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

The Minister also noted that her Ministry will increase efforts to reach students who were unreachable last year.

She calls on Jamaicans to move forward with confidence and determination that we will overcome the present health crisis and any other challenges to come while at the same time remaining totally committed to providing the best educational opportunities for the nation’s children.
