The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) is reporting a decline in the overall performance of candidates in this year’s sitting of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination, CAPE and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) compared to last year.
Director of Operations in the Examination Services Division, Dr. Nicole Manning said this was as a result of hardships brought on by natural disasters and the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.
She noted that there were declines in subjects including, English A and B, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
