CXC REPORTS DECLINE IN CAPE AND CSEC RESULTS COMPARED TO LAST YEAR

The Caribbean Examination Council, CXC is reporting a decline in the overall performance of candidates in this year’s sitting of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination, CAPE and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate, CSEC, compared to last year.

Director of Operations in the Examination Services Division, Dr. Nicole Manning says this was as a result of hardships brought on by natural disasters and the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.

She notes that there were declines in subjects including, English A and B, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
