Dancehall star Capleton says he’s not happy with the current state of Jamaican music.

In a recent interview, he said the time has come to bring back Jamaican music to its authentic state.

It comes following the announcement that the reggae firebrand’s UK work permit has been reinstated.

His last appearance in that country was 13 years ago. He also shared a few words of advice for newcomers in the music business, encouraging young artistes to “surround themselves with the right people and not for the hype and the fame.”

He also advised them to pay homage to the pioneers and the icons who paved the way.
