Acting CEO of the Portland Municipal Corporation, Mrs. Megan Henry-Bramwell, has announced that the infamous Blue Lagoon in Port Antonio, Portland will be reopened on June 1 with upgraded features.
The popular tourist attraction and heritage site located at San San in eastern Portland has been shuttered since August 2022 for refurbishing and re-branding.
Meantime Mayor of Port Antonio, Paul Thompson, stated that there have been issues with the re-opening of the lagoon with squabbles breaking out about the location of sanitary conveniences and parking spaces.
He also said that every effort would be made by the local authority to meet the deadline.
