Tributes are pouring in for beloved actor Volier Johnson, who died last evening.
Reports are that he died in hospital after suffering a heart attack.
Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange in paying tribute said his death was such a great loss, while extending her condolences to Johnson’s family and the theatre community.
Best known as Maffy, Johnson had been involved in theatre for over 50 years.
In the 1980s Johnson did a number of pantomimes and in 1996 he won the Actor Boy Award for Best Actor for his work in Basil Dawkins’ play Toy Boy.
