Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD is teaming up with her mother Ms. Tina Knowles Lawson for a new campaign that supports mobile COVID-19 testing in their hometown of Houston, Texas.
The #IDIDMYPART Mobile Testing Relief Campaign launches on May 8 and 9. The campaign will provide 1,000 test kits, as well as face masks, gloves, vitamins, and household supplies to the people of Houston.
“The virus is wreaking havoc on the Black community so we need a movement to prioritize our health,” Knowles Lawson said in a statement.
“It is critical that we stay vigilant with social distancing, wearing a mask, and most of all getting tested.”
Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD recently launched a relief fund for essential workers and folks affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Through BeyGOOD, Beyoncé donated $6 million to the fund.
In addition, proceeds from Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion’s new “Savage (Remix)” benefit Bread of Life Houston’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
