Shaggy Dominates Top 5 Of Reggae Billboard Charts For The First Time


Jamaican artist Shaggy dominates top 5 of the Reggae billboard Charts with 2 albums for the first time.

Shaggy’s latest album ‘Wah Gwaan’ debuted at number 2 on the charts for this week. It joins the 2018 collaborative album with English singer Sting, ‘44/876’, which is at number 4 and has been on the charts for 55 weeks.

The ‘Wah Gwaan’ album was released on May 10 and it consists of 14 songs, 6 of which are collaborations with artists such as Nyanda, Nicky Jam, Stacy Barthe, Shenseea, Noah Powa, Alexander Stewart and Gene Noble. On the other hand, ‘44/876’ was released on April 20, 2018 and consists of 12 songs.

The only other time Shaggy had 2 albums in the top of charts was on November 16, 2002 when he debuted at number 1 with his 15 track album ‘Lucky Day’ but his other album with 14 tracks, ‘Mr Lover Lover’, was at the number 8 spot.
