Public transportation groups have been granted a 7-day extension to be attired in uniforms.
Minister of Transport Robert Montague has indicated that hackney carriage and contract carriage operators are now to be attired in uniforms by April 8.
The previous deadline was Monday April 1.
Existing route taxi and rural stage carriage operators are expected to continue wearing their approved uniforms.
