Some social media users want to know if female rapper Cardi B has too much of a thin skin. On Monday, the rapper disabled her Instagram account following emotional rants in the form of videos, posted on her account. In her rants, she defended her Grammy win by stating how hard she worked for it despite what others might feel.
Following the disabling of her account, some social media users have implied that Cardi might not be built for the entertainment industry. With comments like, and I quote,
“bye, u not ready for showbiz then.”
“heavy is the head that wears the crown”
“She stay in her feelings, yet she barely gets any hate. I don’t see Nicki deleting her Page.”
“Can’t take the heat get out the kitchen”
Is Cardi thin-skinned though? This is not the first time Cardi is disabling her account. We can recall the feud between Azealia Banks and Cardi in May 2018.
Azealia visited the Breakfast Club and during the interview, she called Cardi “illiterate, untalented rat” and a “caricature of a black woman.” She also criticized Cardi’s grammar and spelling. Of course, Cardi responded with,
“I’m from the hood. I speak how I speak I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous people choose me.”
After which, she disabled her account.
